Leisurelec Technical Services Ltd is a Tewkesbury based company that provides a complete package of power, sound and lighting to events and venues. We have many years of experience in the events industry and sound engineering. We have a comprehensive stock and increasing stock of up to date equipment.

We also have the capability to provide a complete production package for events both small and large, from conception to delivery, and numerous contacts for all aspects of event management and production.

From 1st March 2009 Leisurelec becomes Leisurelec Technical Services Ltd, with new directors Phil Buckley and Adrian Waldron joining Ian Horley to further develop the company and the rehearsal studios

Our Staff

Ian Horley, founder and Managing Director of Leisurelec has been in the music and sound engineering business for over 35 years, as well as being a fully qualified electrician for the last 32 years. Founder of the well known HMS Birmingham studios and Midland Sound Services, his relocation to Tewkesbury has resulted in the formation of Leisurelec, providing a complete sound and power service to events and bands.
As well as playing guitar in a number of bands since age 14, Ian has worked with notable bands and musicians such as The Charlatans, Squeeze, The Stranglers, Europe, Jean Michelle Jarre and The Soup Dragons.

Mark Gilbert, our senior technician gained his HND in music technology in Devon, before going on to employment as chief technician at a number of venues, including The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury. His experience includes sound engineering, planning and operation of theatre lighting and he is a qualified electrician.

Gary Essex, our production manager has been involved in the events industry for over 20 years. An experienced AV technician, he has worked on a number of large prestigious projects, including multi screen projection for awards ceremonies, conference sound, club lighting and specialist projection for the film industry. He is also an experienced event logistics manager, who has worked on the production management of a number of large outdoor events in the UK.
